Meet The Team

Dr. Kamaria Catalan, DVM, has seamlessly integrated her lifelong passion for animals into a fulfilling career as a dedicated veterinarian. From a tender age, Dr. Catalan harbored an unwavering affection for creatures great and small.  At the age of fourteen, Dr. Catalan embarked on her veterinary journey by volunteering at a local animal hospital, where her fervor for animal care blossomed. This early exposure ignited a lifelong commitment to learning and understanding the intricacies of veterinary medicine. Driven by her passion, she pursued higher education at a historically black college, Howard University before earning her degree in veterinary medicine at Michigan State.

With over two decades of service to the Anderson community, Dr. Catalan has established herself as a compassionate and skilled practitioner.  She also served as the president of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association and a member of the City of Cincinnati Animal Task Force. Over the years, she has provided tender care to thousands of beloved dogs and cats, continuously striving to expand her knowledge and expertise in the field.

As the chief medical officer of Vetcheck Urgent Care, Dr. Catalan fulfills a crucial role in the Anderson community, offering vital services to pets in their times of greatest need. Whether tending to urgent ailments, performing surgeries, or providing compassionate support to worried pet owners, Dr. Cat approaches each case with unwavering dedication and expertise.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Catalan shares her home with a delightful array of animal companions, including two cherished dogs, a spirited cat, and a charming little bird. She enjoys crafting, running, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  

Dr. Catalan remains deeply committed to the well-being of her furry friends and their devoted human companions. Her unwavering passion for animal care, coupled with her unparalleled expertise, continues to make a profound impact on the lives of pets and their families alike.
